DEAR GOD, I NEED HELP WRITING A SONNET

Dear god, I need help writing a sonnet.
To many syllables to deal with today
Literally have a bee in my bonnet
Would rather swim to San Francisco bay
Then sit here writing-freedom in nine lines
I feel lost and confused like when they left
Me stranded in Giant-that’s a real bind
Amid the bananas my heart bereft
And finally my sonnets almost done
My cat smiles back triumphant- a lion
We do a dance together the battle won
Just realized he might be Hawaiian
Ha! Iambic pentameter be damned
This sonnet’s feet are totally scammed

About A BoyTo whom it may concern:
Please excuse me from being late to school today
I am in love
'Love?!' you ask, 'that’s your excuse to do as you may?’
Why yes. It’s making me crazy
Can’t read an alarm clock when your vision is hazy.

Dear teacher, I didn’t do your essay
I was too busy writing this poem
To a boy. Then at school,
I was too shy to give it to him
Some say love will always bite you
And I know I’m sick, but not with swine flu.

Hey coach! Sorry I missed practice
I tried everything to get my crush's attention
Spent 4th period stalking his class room,
Got caught cutting class, assigned detention,
Everyday for the rest of my life, I’ll be locked
In A23 and my heart, ‘cause his is blocked

Oh my god! Best friend-guess what?
The boy, my boy! He wrote me a love song
Every line about his undying love for me.
On second thought, it was boring and long,
I thought love songs were supposed to make a girl weepy.
And besides, devoting all that time to write about just one person?
Creepy.

Only the Good Die Young Version 2
based on Big Green Tractor by Jason Aldean
Katie was a girl
Such a sad and lonely girl
She needed a friend
Along came the tractor Ted.
He’s not really made of parts
Just a man who stole her heart

She saw him in town one day
He saw her and decided his wedding day
Love at first sight, you know?
The grand prize on Life’s game show
Love will bring them together
They’re the same, but like lace and leather

Dating, engaged, married
Happiness never varied
Children, relatives, pets
Trips to doctors, airport, vet’s
Everyday activities are what really matter
In the wind, our memories scatter

They had a good life
Honored sacred vows between man and wife
But our time can’t last forever
We say goodbye, hello, whatever
Ted and Katie were meant to be
You can’t deny or disagree

What happens to love when two people die?
Does it go on forever?
Is it imprinted in the sky?
Is each star a love story,
Burning high and bright,
Waiting to be remembered,
When you lift your head to the endless night?
