Well it's Friday. F yes. Ya know? I've been stuck in a rut lately. It seems like the only grade I can get on any test. No matter how hard I try or how hard I don't. Ever just have that feeling no matter what you do, life's going to smack you in the face? Ah well, that's the way it goes.
Horror Games
So I found myself playing a Silent Hill game the other day. Those games and even the movie make me laugh. They all seem to revolve around a lead character that is in a crazy situation that they take in stride. Like this guy (named Travis) almost ran over a girl who he deduced was a ghost after she disappeared...than he saved some girl from a burning building that was in the middle of a huge ritual circle. Why? Who knows? Than he passes out and wakes up in Silent Hill and just decides he must go to the Hospital to visit the girl he saved. Once he got there, he's attacked by a nurse that he pummels to death with a hammer. Again unphased, he encounters to girl he saved. Only she's on the other side of the mirror ... which he proceeds to step through. Again, unphased. Skipping forward, he meets up with a girl who he casually makes conversation with. THERE ARE MUTANT ZOMBIES IN THE STREETS and all he says to her is "Hey, what's up?". Seriously? On a related note, I found a shotgun. It's common knowledge in horror games when you see something scary, you haul A the other way. I've never played a Silent Hill before this one, but I knew eventually I'd hit a boss monster that Had to be defeated to proceed. Sure enough, an hour or so later I was trapped in a seculsion chamber with Travis's crazy "momma" who attacked me from inside a birdcage. Yeah... this game is weird. I laughed afterward though because the player's guide recommended that I throw portable T.V.'s at it if I ran out of bullets. Not just ONE portable T.V. All of them! My character can seemingly hold 8 Portable T.V.'s, an I.V. Drip, 10 Energy Drinks, a Medical Kit, 6 Lamps, 2 Toasters, 4 Meat Hooks, A Scalpel, A Jagged Piece of Wood, and still save room for a Shotgun and 36 Rounds. The monsters should be more terrified of me than I of them (which actually seems to be the case...) because of my apparent harnessing of a vortex to store all my toasters!
