Lonely Moon
The dancing stars,
Encase the lonely moon.
Fluttering brightly past mars.
The dancing stars
Locked neat away behind thick iron bars.
The blackened sky ending all light soon,
The dancing stars,
Encase the lonely moon.
Frozen
The morning sun has yet to rise today,
For father time is drowning in the sea.
The midnight howl has come and gone away,
Leaving the darkness all alone around me.
The clock remains frozen as I breathe,
As the days and nights collide together.
The mass of emptiness begins to seethe,
As the world teeters just like a feather.
The darkest hour in the night can’t please,
A motionless life is what it all means.
Time stands until the father agrees,
To start the clock without more intervenes.
So welcome the lonely moon as it gleams,
Let your mind be forever filled with dreams.
Two Voice Poem
My parents go shopping once a week. My family often goes weeks
Without bringing home new meals. There’s never anything to eat. My dad works full time. My father wanders the streets Daily searching for work. He’s never home. My mom is a teacher,
She’s always nagging me to do my homework. My Mother stays home
To take care of the children.
Our village doesn’t offer schooling. School is so useless I wish I could go to school. I want to learn Mom says if I study hard, I can go to college, and get a good job I’ll never have a real future Without an education. I have two little brothers,
They’re so annoying! I have five siblings,
They are my closest friends. Mom always wants me to take them to the park I love playing games And laughing with them. I love my family But I like my space We’re always together,
Through everything. I really want to go shopping For new clothes, but mom is always so busy. My clothes are tattered and ripped,
Mother says we don’t have
Money for new ones. Times are tough People are always talking about The struggles in third world countries. Everyone’s always glorifying The United States. I don’t understand how they can be so different. It must be so cool Not having to go to school. Getting to learn Staying home all day Having a purpose. They probably have it so good

A quiet glance upon her face.
A pleading desire for her warm embrace.
Across the classroom her hand she'd raise.
He was too shy to talk face to face.
He wished and he prayed that one day she'd be his.
Until that one day where his dreams all caved in.
They talked once about a dance,
About a night so magical and a time filled with chance.
He escorted her on that marvelous night,
the carriage he called was no where in sight.
They're ride ended up being a beaten in truck,
with piles of hay thrown over the bunk.
As they entered the room the night did shine,
The music was flowing and the beats in time.
He held her closely and danced to their new song,
praying that this moment would last as long.
When the song ended their eyes met,
The lights from the dance floor gleaming so bright.
He asked if she loved him,
She smiled and said I just might.
While kissing her lightly,
he whispered I think I love you.
Today as the stars shine up above,
His beloved angel now a sick dove.
He sits beside her,
her hand in his.
The moments are ticking,
Her hearts about to cave in.
His face is long, sullen and despaired.
What is a life without his true love there?
His composure was melting,
As his heart grew in pain.
He wanted to cry, to die the same.
He climbed in bed beside her,
entangling his arms around her waist.
Whispering softly she could never be replaced.
Her breathing grew labored, and her lungs gave out.
His beloved angel was no longer about.
Alone in a world filled with haste.
No one left in his life he'd wish to trace.
As he lie in bed alone that night,
he thought of the vision of his beautiful wife.
Awaken by no one the husband did sleep.
Returning forever to where he's supposed to be,
beside his one true love,
in a place of harmony.
