"Deep into that darkness peering,
long I stood there, wondering,
fearing, doubting, dreaming
dreams no mortal ever dared to
dream before."

- Edgar Allan Poe

MY POEMS:

Ballad
When I was young and fair I remember that house.
The one that sat on the hill hidden by the trees.
Its stone walls faded and cracked.
The eerie wind howls that wouldn’t ease
The curtain that always moved in the top window

Oh, how foolish and naive I had been.
When my friends accused me of fright.
My pride overtook my mind as I stared up at the house.
My feet moved me forward and the lantern I held tight.
I placed a hand on the door knob.

I entered slowly, wincing as the floor boards creaked.
Eyes filled with wonder and awe of the view.
I swallowed as I heard a sound, and my body turned around.
A black cat stood before me, licking its paw as if on cue.
I smiled and reached towards it, but soon withdrew.

As a hiss escaped the creature, I cringed away from it.
Removing myself from that room soon after the cat mewed.
I refused to look back, for fear of being attacked.
That’s when I entered a new room, one very dark and cold.
Reaching up I drew my shawl tighter around my back.

Suddenly a door shut, a drawer opened, a clock chimed.
I shrieked with fright and jumped back against the wall.
Suddenly, silence conquered all, except for the sound of chains.
I dropped my lantern and fell onto my knees I begin to crawl.
Crawling slowly to the door I positioned alongside it.

The chains dragged loudly behind the door where it stopped.
Sweating frantically I stood, and I slowly pushed the door open.
I gasped as I opened it, there was a man in an old wheelchair.
One eye an empty socket, the other opened in terror that deepen.
His hands curled together as he outstretched one towards me.

I screamed and ran, as I came in contact with that old man.
Down the corridor, down the stairs, feet pound the floor.
Finally I found an exit and I skidded down that hill.
Now that I look back at that night the old man remains within my core.

Struck by Lightning:

Where are you my love?
I search for your shine.
I spark at the very thought of you
Do you hear my heart pound like thunder
As I call for you?

Oh metal!
I long for your crisp touch
The way I rebound off you fills
Me with an incredible euphoria.

I only feel;
Love
Desire
Obsession
And lust for you.

I beg you
Make me your servant.

Ah! There you are my love
Let me lay my hand on yours
Oh metal you make me feel so alive
You shock my insides!

I could dance across the world,
With happiness that I found you.
Let us light up the sky width our love

Oh metal.

Shocked with fear (Trio let)

Every time you appear, I cringe away with fear.
So frightening you are when you shock me,
I feel my cheeks rust with a tear
Every time you appear, I cringe away with fear.

Now you twist and bolt as you see me,
Don’t you see we are not meant to be!
Every time you appear, I cringe away with fear
So frightening you are when you shock me.
