I am giving you two weeks to wrap up or recreate an independent project. Whether your project can be completed in or out of class, you need to use the class time I will provide over the next two weeks. You need to create the following items:
1. A Revised Independent Project Description (5 points): You may complete the project you've already started or work on a new one. Your wiki page must include a description of your project. You may work alone or in a small group of no more than three people.
2. A Self-Evaluative Rubric (5 points): I will be grading your project based on the requirements listed here, but you will also be grading yourself. I will take your evaluation into account when calculating my own grade for you.
3. A Schedule of Daily Due-dates (5 points): You must have something due every day. Avoid being either too ambitious or too lazy. You will post your daily items to your wiki page.
4. Postings to Other People's Pages (10 points): Each day after the first, you must visit at least two other people's web pages and post constructive, appropriate commentary on the work they have done. Inappropriate/insulting postings will result in a zero for this part of the assignment and possibly for the entire project.
5. The Project (50 points): As I told you before, your project can be anything, as long as it is creative and involves writing. If you cannot work on it in school, create an aspect of the project that will allow you to utilize the wiki page and the class time I provide. Perhaps you make a daily "blog" on your progress or create a short story based on the film you have made on your own time outside of school. Either way, a significant amount of daily content must be posted to your wiki page.
6. Visual Component (5 points): It's a wiki. Make it look pretty/interesting by posting or linking it to some cool stuff.
7. Presentation (20 points): Be prepared to present your wiki page and project to the class on Friday, May 1st.
Extra Credit (10 points): Submit your work to an online publisher. Give me a copy of the receipt for the extra credit points. Please let me know if it gets published!
Please post all of the above items to your wiki page. Use this opportunity to combine all that you have learned with all that you enjoy. Make this project both fun and productive!
