Abominable Snowman?...or Jamie Tyre?

I've been doing research on local legends and other weird stuff, i.e. The cannibalistic albinos that live on Haycock mountain, Sasquatch, Mothman, etc. I made a couple video clips on some of them, but my documentary surely won't be finished by the end of next week. I'm going to try my best to get it done asap, and I am meaning for it to have a humorous element to it. So anyway, I'm going to be posting my findings on the topic, some pictures, things like that and in the meanwhile I'll be working on getting my video done.
Cannibalistic Albinos!

Okay so, rumor has it that up in Haycock Mountain (located in Sellersville, PA) there lives a group of cannibalistic, child-stealing, rock-salt-shooting albinos. They are said to attack unwary travelers and eat them. Some sources say they live in a concrete house with no windows and throw firecrackers at people passing by, while others say they reside in a "glass house". Up on Ghost Mountain road, they live in a house past a red covered bridge, and it is guarded by a huge gate. Down a dirt road past the gate is their residence, a place that has a big glass deck hanging off the side of the hill. If anyone dares to go on their property, they are chased away by an albino, shotgun in hand. They also have supposedly been sighted flinging tree to tree and performing weird rituals on moonlit nights.

That's just the basic background information on THAT legend, I actually plan to go hiking up on Haycock mountain this weekend with my camcorder and some people, we'll see what we can find...

4/24: MOTHMAN.

I'm sure some of you have heard of mothman, but for those of you who haven't:
Mothman is a creature that was reportedly seen in the Point Pleasant and Charlestown area of West Virginia between the November of 1966 and December 1967. It got its name from a Newspaper article written in Ohio newspaper copyeditor who heard of the "Big Bird" sightings. It is described as a winged man-sized creature with large red eyes and mothlike wings. There are rumors that mothman appears before upcoming disasters, or he is the cause of them. He is also said to mutilate or eat large dogs, travel up to 100 miles per hour, chase cars, and nest in remote, unpopulated areas. Along with that, he is supposedly drawn to and highly protective of small children? I find that pretty odd. Ever since the collapse of the Silver Bridge that goes over the Ohio river, there have been fewer sightings of him.

Sasquatch. Bigfoot. Two different names, but one big hairy apeman. He is spotted usually in the Pacific Northwest, around the forest. If you happen to be looking for this large creature, which I don't think you are, here are some things to know:

  • Large eyes
  • Pronounced brow ridge
  • Large, low-set forehead
  • A highly unpleasant strong scent
  • 6-10 ft. (pretty freakin' tall)
  • Dark brown, reddish hair
Pretty obvious description.
The scientific community believes Sasquatch to be a combination of a hoax, misidentification, and folklore. But you never know. There have been pictures captured of him walking, like the one above, and also some of suspicious footprints that are unusually large which is how it also got the name "Bigfoot".
