Ice Cream
I Love The cool, Sweet, savory taste Of summer's favorite treat. A rainbow of delight; My pleasure on a hot starry night; My sweet tooth’s most potent weakness; My kryptonite, my Achilles’ heel, ice cream. Delicious, delectable, scrumptious, tasty, Lip smacking, yummy, mouth-watering, The dictionary can’t even come up With the words to describe my Love for the dessert that I crave. The song for Children that the ice Cream truck wails, “I scream! You Scream we all Scream for… ICE CREAM!"
Courage The little candle flickers Ignited by one tiny spark The little candle flickers Opposing the rain, wind, and dark The little candle flickers Alone in its fight The little candle flickers Given the chance it’d gladly grow and spread The little candle flickers Despite abuse, it refuses to go dead The little candle flickers Struggling against the odds The little candle flickers The symbol of right in the sea of wrong The little candle flickers On and on and on
Love to Hate Stupidly staring with your bovine eyes A scolding hate that chokes me every time Each word you breath is nothing more than lies Biting my tongue, resisting impending crime Beware! Your nearness makes me nauseous Dangerously on edge, ready to fall I strongly recommend that you be cautious Crippled by your poison, it makes my skin crawl Infected by obsession, beyond self-control Your crooked smile satisfies my thirst Your attention is my private goal Confessing to insanity, set to burst It’d be my luck to fall in love with you Stuck in loath and love, nothing more to do
If only you knew... Before I hadn’t cared
Now I can’t resist
Tempted and undeniably scared
Somehow, you managed to persist
You found the single crack
In my armor worn thick
Too far in to look back
This must be some trick
You can’t possibly really love me
But you don’t let me go
My sensible half wants to flee
Haunted by your warm hug from long ago
You made me fall
You made me take this chance
I opened up and explained it all
I stupidly let you make your advance
We sat in the rain
We walked in the sun
I hadn’t expected the pain
We used to have fun
But when it really counted
When I laid it all on the line
Nothing we felt had amounted
And I’m not really fine
Your reasons make sense
It’s not that I don’t agree
You put me on the defense
You left me with all the debris
Why’d you string me along?
What was the point to the time ideally spent?
What made you decide you were wrong?
What was actually meant?
I would have been fine
I wouldn’t have given a second thought
I should never have crossed that line
I would never have been caught
Now that I’m in
Well over my head
My armor has turned thin
There was more you should have said
First romance does end
You may have been being protective
But rules can bend
What about my perspective

Ice Cream
I
Love
The cool,
Sweet, savory taste
Of summer's favorite treat.
A rainbow of delight;
My pleasure on a hot starry night;
My sweet tooth’s most potent weakness;
My kryptonite, my Achilles’ heel, ice cream.
Delicious, delectable, scrumptious, tasty,
Lip smacking, yummy, mouth-watering,
The dictionary can’t even come up
With the words to describe my
Love for the dessert that
I crave. The song for
Children that the ice
Cream truck wails,
“I scream! You
Scream we all
Scream for…
ICE CREAM!"
Courage
The little candle flickers
Ignited by one tiny spark
The little candle flickers
Opposing the rain, wind, and dark
The little candle flickers
Alone in its fight
The little candle flickers
Given the chance it’d gladly grow and spread
The little candle flickers
Despite abuse, it refuses to go dead
The little candle flickers
Struggling against the odds
The little candle flickers
The symbol of right in the sea of wrong
The little candle flickers
On and on and on
Love to Hate
Stupidly staring with your bovine eyes
A scolding hate that chokes me every time
Each word you breath is nothing more than lies
Biting my tongue, resisting impending crime
Beware! Your nearness makes me nauseous
Dangerously on edge, ready to fall
I strongly recommend that you be cautious
Crippled by your poison, it makes my skin crawl
Infected by obsession, beyond self-control
Your crooked smile satisfies my thirst
Your attention is my private goal
Confessing to insanity, set to burst

Stuck in loath and love, nothing more to do

What about my perspective
Before we were friends
Now we hide it
The start is the same as the end
But unlike you I didn’t want to quit
