Due at the End of Class on 4/24: introduction: In an old abandoned farm, Wilbur the amazing pig was born. Wilbur was unlike any other pig in the lot, for he could do things that many other animals could only dream about. One day he went outside to watch the other pigs play in the mud and decided to join them. Wilbur jumped in the mud and all of a sudden Wilbur was flying in the air! Unfortunately this made the other animals very jealous, so they decided that instead of making friends with Wilbur, they would exclude him from their group. Pig did not care though, for he had his own ambitions to look forward to.
Due at the End of Class on 4/27: page 2: The next day Wilbur woke up with a new thought in his head, "i want to change the world, Wilbur exclaimed." How could little Wilbur ever change his friend's thoughts about him or even make them care about him? Well, he had a plan that was clever, yet dangerous.
Due at the End of Class on 4/28: page 3: His plan was to enter into their group disguised as a chicken. All he had to do was believe in himself and he would transform into a chicken. It was that simple! Whatever Wilbur wanted, he could get by just believing in himself. Then once he was in the group he would then learn what kind of devious plan they were up to against him.
Due at the End of Class on 4/29: page 4:As he was strolling into the group, he found out that this group was now being called the conformists and were discussing ways of getting rid of anyone who gets in their way. They also singled out a certain individual in their society, it was Wilbur. Their goal was to go and burn down Wilbur's barn and chase him out of their community. Little did they know that Wilbur had another plan up his sleeve.
Due at the End of Class on 4/30: Page 5: He was going to prove to those senseless conformers that being an individual is fun and exciting ! He thought that since he got his powers by believing in himself, he thought that if everyone else did the same, they would have superpowers too! But how could Wilbur prove to the farm animals that each one of them is special and deserves to be free? Well, after he transformed back into being a pig, he stood waiting outside of his barn for the conformists to come. They all came with torches and picked forks, expecting to burn his house down. But when they came they saw that Wilbur had already burned down his house. They were all very confused. Wilbur exclaimed, "You can take away my dignity, my home, my life, and my friends, and everything that I value, but you will never be able to take away my happiness! For i am a pig with a mission! I will not let any of you convince me that conforming is the best way! For how can it make any of you happy, knowing that you are all the same, living not by your will, but only the crowds intentions. I have showed you who I most truly am and you all have turned against me. I ask this and only this, can any of you think of a time when you were truly happy inside after following the crowd and conforming to your society?" Everyone stared blankly and looked at the damp ground. Wilbur exclaimed, "Well if not, then don't worry about it! Here is your chance now to believe in yourself for the first time! Go out and be yourselves! Don't let anyone stop you, you are finally free!" All the animals smiled and their faces became filled with a burst of joy. He saw them all drop their torches and picked forks. Then in a loud chant he heard, "I'm free!" He turned around in amazement and saw that everyone was flying high in the sky. They believed. A rainbow soon appeared in the sky, Wilbur's dream was complete.
