I sit here alone
No one comes to save me
Cold and hard like a stone
I sit here alone
I am stuck here in a zone
All scared I must be
I sit here alone
No one comes to save me
Like a roof it stops rain
A statue always there
It can be a beacon for many
For those ready to give up
It shields from weather
Like an umbrella
Surrounding people in dark times
To be a banner of sunshine
It is concrete in its foundation
Of weathering storms
It is a barrier for people
Shielding them from pain
A support, yet a burn when forgotten
It is a cloak for protection
A neccessary provision for journeys
It is a raft Pain (Sonnet)
I must write fourteen lines of sheer torture
I hate these stupid poems with my heart
I can' t find a word rhyming with torture
Typing the words I want to fall apart
Hurry, hurry, I don't have much time
Nothing is really coming to my head
I need to quickly type a rhyme
I want to go I must stay home instead
I just really want to give up right now
My head hurts horribly this is so painful
I am going to finish this somehow
I don't really want my teacher disdainful
Oh sweet relief it has come at last!
I am placing this sonnet in the past!
Silence (Ballad)
Accompanied by Lifehouse "Storm" Lifehousestorm
There was a time when she was lost in his laugh
Until he decided to give her heart back
Broken and shattered, completely alone
She couldn't stand on her own
Tears streamed from her face
As she looked for him in their place
She thought it was love
But it never really was
She looked for him
Even in her dreams
He was nowhere to be found
He wasn't around He had taken and stolen her heart
And now she had nothing left but to fall apart
And all the while he never even noticed
The pain he had caused as he moved on
She thought back to those moments
She wants to be free
She wants to see
How her life could now be
But nothing makes her pain go away
"Stand strong" they say
She yells for help but no one notices
And ever so silently she slips out of focus
Her mind races back
how could he just move on like that
Silently she continues to decay
Until one day when she slips to far away
